About TeaNovel Translate
AI-Powered Novel Translation for Readers Who Refuse to Wait
You found a Chinese web novel you want to read in English. TeaNovel Translate offers tools to import and read chapters from supported sources.
Why We Built This
Chinese web novels cover genres such as cultivation, romance, danmei, fantasy, and science fiction. English translations vary by title: fan translations and official releases are not available for every story, and raw machine translation can be hard to follow.
TeaNovel was built to make it easier to import chapters from supported sites, translate them, and read the results in one place.
TeaNovel Translate is a platform designed for fiction, with a focus on readable output, term support, and a focused reading experience.
How It Works
A simple workflow on the surface, with the heavy lifting handled by TeaNovel behind the scenes.
Install the Extension
Install the TeaNovel Translate Chrome extension, sign in, and use it with one of the supported source sites to import chapter information.
Import Your Novel
Paste a novel or chapter URL from a supported site into SmartImporter. Novel URLs add the novel and chapter list; chapter URLs open the Reader flow.
Translate with NoveLM
Select chapters and start translation. NoveLM uses chapter context and recognized terms to help with consistency, and streams output as it is generated.
Read, Refine, Export
Read in a distraction-free reader with adjustable typography and theme controls. The Pro plan unlocks EPUB uploads and export-ready workflows.
What Makes Us Different
TeaNovel is not a generic translation wrapper. The product is built around the messy, long-form, terminology-heavy reality of serialized fiction.
NoveLM
Fiction-first translation engine
TeaNovel is designed for fiction. Its translation workflow uses chapter context to help carry voice, scene details, and recurring terms into the English output. Results vary by source and context.
Terminology
Term support for long reads
Named entities, cultivation techniques, places, and titles can be recognized and reused to help reduce terminology drift across chapters. Results vary with the source and context.
Quality signals
Scoring to support review
Translation quality signals can help readers identify chapters to review. Scores do not guarantee quality or automatically change future translations.
Workflow
Built for long-form reading, not demos
Manage imported novels, translate chapters in batches on Starter and Pro, sync reading progress, and adjust reader settings in one place.
Streaming
Read output as it streams
Translation output streams as it is generated. Batch jobs process chapters over time, and timing varies with the source and service conditions.
Reader UX
A cleaner place to actually read
The product does not stop at translation. Reader controls for width, type size, line height, and theme make the output feel like a reading app instead of an admin tool.
Supported Sites
TeaNovel currently supports Chinese web novels translated into English on the platforms listed below. Japanese and Korean support is planned but not currently available.

Under the Hood
The product stack keeps changing as TeaNovel improves, but the goal stays the same: better quality, lower friction, and a reading experience that feels dependable.
Modern web stack, single-product focus
The platform uses Next.js App Router with a Hono API in the same application, serving landing pages, authenticated dashboards, and API routes.
Translation pipeline designed for fiction
TeaNovel's translation workflow uses chapter context, named-entity recognition, term handling, streaming delivery, and quality signals for serialized fiction.
Cloud-native infrastructure for long reading sessions
TeaNovel uses PostgreSQL with Drizzle-managed schemas, Redis caching, and QStash background workflows for imports and batch translations.
Simple, Credit-Based Pricing
All plans support unlimited novels. Credit allowances are issued per billing cycle, and batch translation is available on Starter and Pro.
