Compare TeaNovel and Lexilit through their documented import, glossary, review, and reading workflows. Check current limits and test a lawful sample first.
TeaNovel and Lexilit both provide workflows for translating fiction. Compare how you import a book, handle terminology, review chapters, and read the output. This page does not establish a quality winner or claim that either tool guarantees consistency across a whole novel.
As checked on October 8, 2026, Lexilit's official FAQ describes projects, file uploads, translation agents, automatic glossary extraction, glossary additions, output review/editing, and downloads. It also describes an extension that sends webpage content into a workspace. Verify the current formats, plan limits, and source compatibility on that page before choosing an import route.
These are the provider's descriptions, not independent accuracy measurements. We do not infer that every chapter is present in a model's context at once or that the glossary eliminates all errors.
TeaNovel imports supported-site chapters through its desktop extension and SmartImporter. The seven sites are JJWXC, Qidian, QDMM, Fanqie, Qimao, Zongheng, and SFACG free chapters. You must have lawful access, and source blockers can still prevent import.
Pro accounts can also upload supported text EPUBs up to 20 MiB, 5,000 chapters, and 10 million source characters. Upload and parsing are separate from translation and do not spend translation credits. See EPUB upload.
NoveLM supplies recognized genre instructions and per-novel terminology to translation. The terminology list is view-only; manual glossary editing is not available. Quality evaluation may be available for a translation, and readers can submit feedback. A score is not proof of accuracy. See the engine explainer.

| Queue a larger range | Batch / Translate All on Starter and Pro | Queue limits and interruption handling |
| Download completed translations | TXT / EPUB export on Pro | Current output formats and plan access |
The right choice may depend on a specific control rather than an overall quality claim. If manual glossary changes are essential, TeaNovel's view-only list is a material limit to include in your comparison.
Use original or authorized material, or a source you can lawfully access for personal reading. Compare missing text, names, pronouns, address terms, formatting, and readability. If you cannot read Chinese, bilingual review is needed to assess fidelity. Keep private source text and outputs out of public reports.
TeaNovel Free includes 1,000 credits per month. Chinese translation costs 1 credit per 100 source characters, rounded up per chapter, with a minimum of 1 credit. Check the actual estimate and pricing; this page does not maintain Lexilit prices or promise that one plan is cheaper.
TeaNovel supplies per-novel terminology to translation. Lexilit's official FAQ describes automatic glossary extraction and glossary controls. Neither description alone proves error-free output.
No. The current public terminology list is view-only. Report an incorrect recurring term through reader feedback.
This page does not establish a measured winner. Compare a lawful sample and inspect meaning as well as English fluency.
Yes, on Pro: supported text EPUB input and TXT/EPUB export of completed translations. Import and translation are separate steps.
