Account Settings & Profile Management
Access your account settings from the user menu in the top-right corner, or navigate directly to Settings.
Your settings page is the central place for managing how you sign in, how your profile appears in the app, and how your account stays secure over time. If you use more than one browser or device, it is worth reviewing this page regularly so your account details, connected sign-in methods, and security controls stay up to date.
Profile
Update your display name and profile picture. Your display name appears in the app but isn't visible to other users.
To update your profile:
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Edit your name or upload a new avatar
- Click Save
Email sign-in
The web sign-in screen uses one-time verification codes. Enter your email address and the 6-digit code sent to your inbox.
If the code doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, then use the resend option after its countdown. You can also sign in with a connected Google, Discord, or Twitter/X account.
Connected accounts
View and manage your OAuth connections (Google, Discord, Twitter/X). You can:
- Connect a new provider to your account
- Disconnect a provider (as long as you have another sign-in method)
For details, see OAuth Connections.
Active sessions
View the devices and browsers where you're signed in. Each session shows:
- Browser and operating system
- The date and time the session was created
- Which session is the current device
You can revoke another session to sign out that device remotely. The current session cannot be revoked from itself.
For details, see Sessions & Security.
Subscription and billing
Open Subscription → Plan & Billing from the settings navigation to manage your plan and billing portal. Use the other items in the Subscription section to view credit usage and history.
Theme
Switch between Light, Dark, and System themes. The System option matches your operating system's appearance setting.
You can also switch themes using the command palette.
Tips
- Keep a backup sign-in method. Connecting another OAuth provider gives you another way to access your account.
- Review sessions regularly. If you no longer use a shared or old device, revoke that session.
- Keep your profile details current. Your display name and avatar appear in your account.
- Use the right theme for long reading sessions. Dark or system theme can make extended reading more comfortable, especially at night.
