Plans, Pricing, and Credit Limits
TeaNovel offers three subscription plans. All plans include the core translation engine and reader, and there is no plan-based cap on the number of novels in your library. Plans set the monthly credit allowance and determine which features are available.
TL;DR — Free: 1,000 credits/mo · Starter $4.99: 10,000 credits/mo + batch · Pro $14.99: 50,000 credits/mo + EPUB upload and export. All plans have unlimited projects.

Book imports accept EPUB files only; TXT import is not offered. Each EPUB can contain up to 5,000 chapters and 10 million source characters, with a file size up to 20 MiB. Importing the book does not spend translation credits; select chapters and confirm their credit budget afterwards — see Upload EPUB.
Credits
Credits are the currency for translations. Each chapter translation costs a number of credits based on the chapter's length — longer chapters use more credits.
Credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
Free plan
The Free plan is a great way to try TeaNovel:
- 1,000 credits per month. Enough to translate several chapters, depending on length.
- Single chapter translation. Translate one chapter at a time.
- Full reader access. All reading customization features.
- Terminology browsing — Browse, search, and filter extracted terminology for novels in your library
No credit card required to start.
Starter plan — $4.99/month
For regular readers who want more capacity:
- 10,000 credits per month. Significantly more translation capacity.
- Batch & Translate All. Translate selected chapters at once, or queue an entire novel from the book page with pause and resume.
- Priority support. Get help faster when you need it.
- Everything in Free
Pro plan — $14.99/month
For power users and dedicated translators:
- 50,000 credits per month. High-volume translation.
- EPUB book upload. Upload your own EPUB novels (up to 20 MiB, 5,000 chapters, and 10 million source characters per book), then choose the chapters to translate (TXT import is not offered). Uploaded novels stay private to your account.
- Export. Download translations as TXT or EPUB files.
- Dedicated support. Get help with your account and imports.
- Everything in Starter
Credit Pack — $1.99 (one-time)
Need more credits without upgrading? Credit Packs are available on any plan:
- 2,000 credits per pack — purchase as many as you need.
- Credits never expire — they remain in your account until used.
- Stackable — combine with your monthly plan credits.
Credit Pack credits are separate from your monthly allowance and are consumed only after your monthly credits run out.
Managing your subscription
View and manage your subscription in Settings → Subscription.
From there you can:
- View your current plan and billing cycle
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- View payment history
- Cancel your subscription
Upgrades take effect immediately and start a fresh billing cycle with the new plan's full credit allowance. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep the credits you already paid for.
Billing
TeaNovel uses Stripe for payment processing. We accept major credit and debit cards.
Your subscription renews automatically each month. You can cancel anytime — your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
